Rev. Manomi’s deep burden, passion and commitment to the educational development of children arose from his two years working experience as a high school pastor (chaplain), teacher, and patron of the Fellowship of Christian Students at the Perfect Memorial Secondary School, Mwari (North-Eastern Nigeria), where he saw the need not only for financial support to children from poor families, especially orphans, but also the need to provide spiritual, social and psychological support to such children throughout their life’s journey. That need and the burden to contribute to meeting it is what informs his efforts to help such people, which formed part of the reasons for establishing I-VEED.

Rev. Dr. Manomi is the Founder, CEO and Secretary of I-VEED Board of Trustees.

While Mr. Manomi and his wife Batsheba, she being an orphan herself, share this burden and have been helping such child-victims (e.g. of sexual abuse, terrorism and ethno-religious crises) whose educational development has been hindered or is being threatened by poverty, they realized that the need and requests they get is increasingly becoming bigger than what they alone could meet. Therefore, in order to invite family and friends, churches, and organizations to join them in helping such child-victims, they initiated and founded I-VEED, in conjunction with the Board of Trustee members and other like-minded family and friends. Mr. Manomi is a member of several professional associations such as the Society of Biblical Literature, European Association of Biblical Studies, Evangelical Theological Society, and research center for Ethics in Antiquity and Christianity.
